CLASSIC TREK INTO THE
COLCA CANYON

DAY 1:
AREQUIPA / CABANACONDE

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good
In the mornig
we´ll departure to Cabanaconde village. We´ll pass through
the highest point called Patapampa over 4,800 masl, where
we'll ask wishes. Arrival to Chivay village a short relax
for continuing to Cabanaconde. Arrival to this village.
Overnight in a Hotel.
DAY 2: CABANACONDE / SAN JUAN DE
CHUCCHO / TAPAY / COSÑIRHUA / MALATA / SANGALLE
Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll start descending from 3,200m.
to 2,100 m.a.s.l. Then we’ll continue to San Juan de
Chuccho, we´ll visit the village of Tapay where
we will have an spectacular view of the landscape and where
we will have lunch then descend to Cosñirhua, we’ll
hike through Malata towards the Sangalle
(Oasis) village and enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot
springs. Dinner. Overnight in a bungalows.
DAY 3:
SANGALLE / CABANACONDE / AREQUIPA
This day we must leave very early in the morning 03:00AM
approx. Accompanied by the stars and a magnificent dawn in
this oasis to climb to the Cabanaconde village for breakfast
and continue the trip towards Cruz del Condor (optional),
Then head to Chivay for our last lunch in a tourist
restaurant and return to the white city.
